It's been reported that about 200k people showed up on the National Mall today for a historic precendence (take that Tea Party!) to keep President Obama accountable to his promise to pass an Immigration Reform bill. AAPI groups represented in full force from all over the country. Starting from the AAPI constituency pre-rally at noon, advocates and activists joined supporters on the national mall in the blazing sun to demand Comprehensive Immigration Reform in 2010. Highlights include a recorded message from Obama himself recommitting to passing reform, statements from Rep. Judy Chu and Rep. Mike Honda, and heartwarming stories/videos from the DREAM activists & the Trail of Dreams Students.
Please join APAP-DC with Rep. Mike Honda and Rep. Judy Chu as we debrief the March and further discuss the importance of Comprehensive Immigration Reform for the AAPI community! http://bit.ly/CIRforAAPIs
