A couple of weeks ago, in his State of the Union address, President Obama gave a general outline of what he hopes to achieve in the next Congress. But how realistic was it and how can progressives actually achieve any victories in the next two years. Please join us for a potluck brunch where we will be joined, via skype, by Carlos Uriarte, Legislative Counsel in Congresswoman Judy Chu's office. Carlos will provide us with a basic intro on his job responsibilities and that of his office, as well as an update on progressive legislation now that the Republicans have retaken the House. He'll also be answering specific questions from our guests.
