APAP produces first film, special screening in Chicago on April 19th "VINCENT WHO?" APAP is proud to announce our first film, a documentary on the murder of Vincent Chin and the impact the historic case has had on the Asian American community. A follow-up to our National Townhall on Hate Crimes last year, the film features such leading figures as Helen Zia (journalist and leading lawyer during the case), Stewart Kwoh (Executive Director, Asian Pacific American Law Caucus), Frank Wu (Dean, Wayne State Law School), Renee Tajima Pena (Director, "Who Killed Vincent Chin?"), Eric Nakamura (Publisher, Giant Robot Magazine) and many more. The film is produced by APAP and Tony Lam Films. April 12, Philadelphia - A free tax clinic, sponsored by APAP, will be held at 10am April 12th for low income Philadelphians at Solutions for Progress at 728 S. Broad Street. We will be offering free tax preparation for people who earn between $3,000 and $8,750 a year, income that falls below what the government requires for filing.
