Earlier this week, Comcast decided to pull the plug on AZN television network, one of the few remaining networks dedicated to Asian American content. It's frustrating to see so many positive Asian American outlets being decimated due to lack of profit. Were these networks doomed to failure from the start due to poor distribution or access to the APIA community; or perhaps our community needs to get more involved in using our consumer dollars to support positive Asian American media outlets like AZN television. It's too late to try and save AZN, but perhaps this is the wake-up call we need to demonstrate to our community that it's not just about wanting Asian American programming, but proving that -- as a community -- we're willing to support it with our money. How many folks -- who had access to AZN in their area -- were actually watching the network?
