I-1033 threatens basic services for the APA community

Local Seattle activist Tim Eyman’s latest, Initiative 1033, threatens basic services such as education and health care that are vital to the APA community. According to the governor’s budget office, the initiative would reduce state general fund revenues that support education, human services, health care, environmental programs, and general government by an estimated $5.9 billion by 2015.


Candidate for Mayor of Seattle Throws Up on Me

First, my title to this blog is misleading. Mike McGinn, candidate for Mayor of Seattle, requested a meeting with me, but his campaign staff called to explain that McGinn needed to switch to phone meetings as in person ones were swallowing too much time. I'm forgiving. After all, I've worked with candidates. I understand that time is something you can't replace.

McGinn called me a half hour after our scheduled meeting time, and he only had 12 minutes before his next meeting.
