CVS bills itself as a health care company, not just a drugstore chain. CVS CEO Tom Ryan says the company is trying to “improve patient access, and promote better health outcomes”  as well as to make money for shareholders. But there is an underside to the company’s story of growth. CVS does a worse job than its major national competitors at providing fair and equal access to its stores and health care services.
