I spoke today with an aide for Rep. Mike Quiqley (IL). He stated that Congress is still hoping to hear what comes out of committee before making a final decision about health care reform. I did ask about the recent loss in Massachusetts and how that might effect the process, he stated that they were not concerned about it and it didn't effect how Quiqley or Congress would conduct business.

It has become clear recently that "fear the black guy" is getting a chorus in the right wing fringe of the teevee and talk radio. It is isn't funny. This is no laughing matter and it should not be taken lightly. This was something the right wing couldn't stick to Bill Clinton back in 90's because he was "Bubba", so they had to cook up conspiracies about murders and money while fetishing over Clinton's penis. However, now, today with the first ever black President Barack Obama, the hate radio has another angle and it is a dangerous one.

There is some buzz around a recent poll released by Gallup. The claim is that "Conservatives are the Single-Largest Ideological Group."

An unidentified flying spokesperson for the Palin family has told the Socialist Papers for Democracy that the family will go on a world wide "Apology" Tour. The tour which will include stops ranging from Chicago to Russia will be a comedy tour starring Sarah, Todd, and Bristol Palin (the others will be in Alaska so not far away from Russia). They plan on setting the "record" straight on what conservatives and humor in general is all about.

Reuters today reported that bankruptcies are at the highest since 2005. The ever growing unemployment count, the housing crisis and credit crunch has led to an influx of filings for consumers needing help. The stats are startling:

Newt Gingrich announced last night that he is officially the Supreme Chancellor of the Teevee. It was a close race the past two months between Gingrich and Darth Cheney and his daughter Darth Lizdius. The liberal bias media triumphant declared Gingrich the leader of the Teevee realm after his scathing speech declaring war on the pagans and using the word racialist to define Supreme Court nominee Sonia Sotomayor.
