The Boston Phoenix has endorsed Sam Yoon. This is awesome news. The fact that he is a relative newcomer speaks volumes of the high regard that he is commanding in Boston, and I'm guessing that much of this respect comes from the fact that Sam pounded Menino in the debate. If elected, Sam will help fix education in Boston, and he will make Boston politics more transparent. He's an immigrant from Korea, a community organizer, and a former inner school teacher. He has the experience. Sam isn't afraid to get his hands dirty, and he speaks from the heart. The runoff election is on Tuesday, and I'm hoping that people will get out there to vote.
If you haven't done so, hear Sam talk about his experience as an Asian American in politics and what he's going to do for Boston. If you're out of state, please consider giving to his campaign at samyoon.com. I set up a fundraising page, and I hit my target this past week! We need to support strong, intelligent, and capable Asian American leaders. Support Sam Yoon!
