Okay, lots of news on Judy Chu's race for the 32nd Congressional seat this week, but this one is really important. Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has announced the date for the special election:

California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger (R) announced Tuesday that the special House election to replace Hilda Solis, who recently became secretary of Labor, will take place on July 14. But the more significant date is the special Congressional primary, which has been set to coincide with a statewide special election on May 19.

Judy and her campaign now have about two months to bring this baby home. The campaign has been gobbling up major endorsements including the LA County Federation of Labor, Emily's List, Dolores Huerta, Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa and many more, including APAP. Remember, her campaign kickoff is this weekend. Judy will host a short program with light refreshments followed by our first canvass and phone bank with local community leaders. The celebration continues in the afternoon with lunch and an open house.
