CAUSE Women in Power Program Annual Luncheon

On behalf of Center for Asian Americans United for Self-Empowerment (CAUSE), I would like to invite you attend our inaugural Women in Power Luncheon.  Our keynote speaker is Ms. Arianna Huffington, the co-founder and editor-in-chief of The Huffington Post, a news and blog site that has quickly become one of the most widely read, linked to, and frequently-cited media brands on the Internet.  A prolific author, Ms. Huffington was also named to the Time 100, Time Magazine's list of the world's 100 most influential people.  Following Ms. Huffington's speech will be a brief panel discussion led by California Board of Equalization Chairwoman Judy Chu.  The luncheon will take place on Friday, July 25, from 11:30am - 1:30pm at the California Club in downtown Los Angeles (538 South Flower Street, Los Angeles, 90071).    If you would like to attend this special event, please complete and return the registration form by Wednesday, July 23. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Sharon Chen, CAUSE interim executive director, at 626-356-9838 or schen@causeusa.org.    Women in Power is a new program that CAUSE is hosting for the first time in 2008 as part of our continuing efforts to empower the Asian Pacific American community in southern California.  This program brings together successful women who have achieved success and have demonstrated leadership in their respective fields.  Through thoughtful and candid discussion of the experiences of female APA leaders, we can work together to ensure that more minority women are advancing and taking on more leadership roles in our community.  The CAUSE Women in Power program will also provide mentoring opportunities, workshops, and leadership development for other minority women aspiring to rise above boundaries.  The CAUSE Women in Power program is sponsored by a contribution from Wal-Mart Stores, Inc.  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ CAUSE 260 S.
