PRIMARY ISSUES FROM GROUP DISCUSSION
1) Caring for the Aging Population - how do we access the government funding and programs available for our elderly Asians in the community? How do we address the lack of care? What support systems are available for the caregivers?
2) Asian Youth Employment - what measures are be taken to ensure that today's youth will have opportunities in the marketplace? What resources are available to help young Asians entering the workforce saddled with debt?
3) Increasing Asian Visibility - given the limited representations of Asians in politics, the media and film what initiatives are being planned to counter this trend?
4) 2010 Census - As the Asian community is notoriously closed in, how do we plan on relaying the benefits of participating in the upcoming Census? Dow we know if there will be an umbrella org to help drive effort across the aisles.
