Is third time the charm? Illinois businessman and netroots favorite Dan Seals certainly hopes so. After running for Congress in Illinois in 2006 and 2008, Dan is making a third attempt. He'll be announcing his candidacy this Thursday. From his website:

Come support Dan and find out about how to
get involved in the campaign.
In 2008, APAP placed one of our trained and paid fellows on his campaign. Dan is truly a progressive candidate and one we look forward to supporting again. An African American, Dan's wife is Japanese American and he actually worked in Japan for a while.
This time around, things should be easier as it's an open seat. The current Congressman, Republican Mark Kirk, is running for Senate. Seals lost to Kirk 53-47% both times. The 10th Congressional District in Illinois actually went for Obama by 61% so it's another top target for Democrats.
