LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Democrat Warren Furutani won the only state legislative race on Tuesday, handily beating two minor-party candidates for a Los Angeles-area Assembly seat. With 61 percent of precincts reporting, Furutani had 69 percent of the vote, compared to 15 percent each for Libertarian nominee Herb Peters and American Independent Party candidate Charlotte Sadiyah Gibson.
