This is an action that just went out to APAP FB Group.
Hello everyone - Former APAP board member Charmaine Manansala is collecting clothing and shoes to send to survivors of Typhoon Ketsana/Ondoy in the Philippines. Please respond to Charmaine at charmaine.manansala@gmail.com for more details on how to help. Thanks to Charmaine for doing this!
Friends,
As you may have heard or seen on TV, the Philippines has been hit with a devastating typhoon.
Typhoon Ketsana devastated northern Philippines leaving nearly 450,000 people displaced and missing and causing 250 deaths at latest count. In a span of 6 hours, more rain dropped in the Philippines than Hurricane Katrina.
Filipinos lost their homes, their businesses, and their livelihoods.

A lot of you have met my mom. She is spearheading a collection of donated clothing for flood victims in the Philippines.
She is collecting clothes and shoes to be sent to the Philippines.
Items needed:
-Clothes all sizes
-Shoes
-Socks
-Small monetary donations to help with the shipping cost.
Each balikbayan box which holds approximately 200 pieces of clothing will cost about $75 to ship.
Those is Southern California can drop it off our house. Those in other states can mail to her or have it shipped to her if buying online.
Many people have lost so much. If you are in a position to help, please do so. If you would like to help out, please contact me for info.
Maraming salamat, Charmaine
