Civic Engagement Fund:

The Civic Engagement Fund (CEF) is a capacity-building initiative designed to support Arab, Middle Eastern, Muslim, and South Asian (AMEMSA) nonprofit organizations through a blend of organizational support grants, technical assistance, and peer learning opportunities.  CEF is a strategic partnership between AAPIP and eight other philanthropic partners in the Bay Area. 

 

Summary:

The Associate Director of the Civic Engagement Fund for AMEMSA communities directly reports to the Director, Philanthropic Advocacy and leads and manages the planning, development and implementation of activities to meet the CEF  goals including but not limited to 1) creating a pooled fund to strengthen the capacity and effectiveness of community-based organizations serving AMEMSA communities 2) awarding grants from this fund 3) providing individual and group technical assistance and peer-learning opportunities to community-based organizations serving AMEMSA communities and, 4) creating a replicable capacity building model for increased collaboration between foundations, community based organizations, and intermediary organizations in California.

 

The Associate Director is also a member of the Philanthropic Advocacy Team which is responsible for contributing to organization wide philanthropic advocacy goals.
