Deadline:
Tue, 05/05/2009 (All day)
During the 2008 election, students and young people across the country were inspired to engage in politics as they never had before -- and their efforts were crucial every step of the way.
But the work is far from over.
That's where you come in -- Organizing for America is now accepting applications for eight-week organizing fellowships for this summer. Summer Organizers will work directly with communities and volunteer leaders to make the change we fought for in 2008 a reality in 2009.
As a Summer Organizer, you'll work alongside Organizing for America staff, learn core organizing principles that are crucial for any political campaign, and help mobilize the support that will allow President Obama to enact an agenda that will put this country back on track.
Apply now to work with Organizing for America before the May 5th deadline.
Barack Obama founded his campaign on the idea that change can only come from the bottom up.
He said of community organizing: "It was the best education I ever had, because I learned in those neighborhoods that when ordinary people come together, they can achieve extraordinary things."
This is your chance to get that same education.
If you are dedicated to the mission of reviving our economy, making our country the leader in clean energy, and providing health care for every American, don't miss this opportunity. No prior experience is necessary.
