John Cho to Judge OFA Health Reform Video Challenge

Last month, Organizing for America launched the Health Reform Video Challenge - a contest to make the best thirty second ad for heatlh care reform.  The deadline for submission is October 18, less than two weeks away, and the winning ad will be aired nationally.  Anyone can participate - just go to http://my.barackobama.com/VideoChallenge for details and how to enter.

Today, David Plouffe announced in an e-mail that the judges for the contest have been chosen.  One of the judges is John Cho, the pioneering Asian American actor from Better Luck Tomorrow, Star Trek, and of course, Harold from the Harold and Kumar movies.  Other judges include will.i.am, front man and producer of the multi-platinum Black Eyed Peas, actress and Voto Latino founder Rosario Dawson, Kate Walsh from "Grey's Anatomy," Olivia Wilde from "House," Dulé Hill from "The West Wing" and "Psych," "Family Guy" creator Seth MacFarlane, and Brandon Routh from Superman Returns.  Judges from OFA will include Plouffe, Virginia Governor and DNC Chairman Tim Kaine, DNC Executive Director Jen O'Malley Dillon, and Pennsylvania Congressman Patrick Murphy.

Perhaps one of the coolest parts is that, continuing the grassroots-focused ethos of the Obama campaign, the official judges panel will include Organizing for America grassroots volunteers, named as Courtney S. from Georgia, Michelle M. from Arizona, and Erin T., a student organizer in New Hampshire.

So grab a camera, get your friends and family together, and start shooting!  You may be responsible for the ad that ushers in a new era of health care in this country.
