Over 800 supporters attended a crowded Chinatown restaurant in downtown Los Angeles last night to help Congressmember Judy Chu win her first re-election campaign in 2010. The campaign didn't say how much they raised, but I am sure it was a good amount as tickets were going for at least $150 each. While Judy repeated a lot of the things she has said since winning her seat in a special election earlier this year (recounting the story about Hilda Solis moving up to Cabinet Secretary, the first call from Barack Obama, etc.), it was still good to see so many supporters come out to support the first Chinese American woman in Congress.
If you are interested in meeting Judy yourself, here's info on an upcoming event in her district.
