Manan Trivedi named as Truman National Security Fellow

Here's the latest press release from APAP-PAC endorsed candidate Manan Trivedi. Again, Trivedi is running in the open seat for PA-06 and has an excellent shot at turning the seat blue, especially with announcements like this:

The Truman Security Fellowship is a highly competitive award for professionals who show early promise to become our country's future progressive leadership. The one-year Fellowship offers unique hands-on training in national security, access to a powerful network of peers and leaders across the country, and assistance with obtaining positions of national security leadership around the country.

“I am honored to have been invited to join such a prestigious program,” said Trivedi.  “As an Iraq War veteran, I believe I have a unique perspective on the most pressing national security issues facing America.  I look forward to joining others from various backgrounds and perspectives in the hopes of shaping our country’s policy for generations to come.  This is a historic moment in our nation’s history with regard to our foreign policy and the security of our homeland and our economy.  I thank the Truman National Security Project for giving me this opportunity to continue serving my nation’s interests,” concluded Trivedi.

Dr. Trivedi will join other Fellows from around the country.  Members of the project’s advisory board include former Secretary of State, Madeleine Albright and former White House Chief of Staff, John Podesta.

Manan Trivedi is a former Lt. Commander in the U.S. Navy, an Iraq War veteran and a primary care physician.

Over the Thanksgiving break, Trivedi's campaign also released an updated list of endorsements:

Following the Thanksgiving holiday weekend, Democratic congressional candidate Manan Trivedi had a lot to be grateful for as the campaign released the names of new endorsers from various elected, party and community leaders.  These 16 endorsements represent support from across Berks, Chester and Montgomery counties.

Leading off this post holiday round of endorsements is Montgomery County Prothonotary, Mark Levy.

“Manan is authentic,” said Levy.  “He has a firm understanding of what this district needs because he was born and raised here.  And because of those roots, Manan reflects and relates to the people of this region.”

Manan Trivedi launched his campaign for the 6th district in September of this year following his departure from the U.S. Navy.  Quickly he began to meet with leaders from throughout the district to share his life story and his vision for the region.  As a result, those leaders have been offering their support to his campaign.

“Starting the campaign when we did, we knew we were going to have to work twice as hard as everyone else in this race . . . and it is paying off,” said Trivedi.  “Through our work and through the conversations I have had with leaders within our community, we have been able to build relationships that will prove positive in winning this election but also in building a better future for the district.  I am honored to have the support of each and every person who joins us in that effort.”
