Moving Beyond Osama:
A Community Dialog for Action
Let's talk!
On May 1, 2011, President Obama made an announcement that Osama Bin Laden had been killed. Since then, there have been many reactions from the media, community organizations and people across the globe. While we recognize there are many perspectives and implications to the situation, it is our hope to foster a conversation that moves us beyond Osama and to think about how this impacts America and the world we live in. As we approach 10-year anniversary of 9/11 and are amidst an economic climate with high unemployment, this will be a conversation that explores the intersections of our issues.
Join us as we process this historic moment, hear from a variety of groups and individuals and identify potential next steps.
