Today, in an act of solidarity for equity and access in higher education, thousands of University of California students, faculty, and staff protested the budget cuts and fee hikes at all ten campuses. For the most vulnerable members of our community, these cuts and fee increaes hurt the most. For students and our families, it makes no sense for us to PAY MORE for LESS! If you didn't know, the UC eliminated almost all of the the ethnic studies/policy oriented research programs including the UC AAPI Policy Multi-campus Research Program. Staff and faculty furloughs means less time for students to access services and to meet with professors.
If you were at a protest today on any of the campuses, share your stories and pictures!
5000 strong at UC Berkeley! I believe that was the largest turn out of all the UCs. I certainly hope that Berkeley will get the nod as one of the best places for Asian American students to organize!

that's awesome!
i wish we could have included cal in the review process for "best colleges," but we didn't get any information from anyone at cal to tell the judges about all the great things going on. so, unfortunately we couldn't include cal in the evaluation process.
