Paul Yee nominated to Quincy Court

Boston seems to be the place these days for Asian Americans. Not only does Boston City Councilor Sam Yoon have his big day at the polls tomorrow, but Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick has just nominated attorney Paul M. Yee from Brookline to be a judge in Quincy District Court. According to this press release from the Governor's office:

Paul M. Yee, Jr. has, since 1986, been a Boston-area sole practitioner, representing clients in a wide range of civil and criminal matters.  He began his legal career in New York as a Reginald Heber Smith Community Lawyer Fellow and then Staff Attorney with Brooklyn Legal Services before becoming a Senior Attorney representing the Boston Housing Authority in the courts and administrative agencies of the Commonwealth.  Before starting his own practice, Yee served as an Assistant District Attorney in Suffolk County.  Over the course of his career, Yee also has served for many years as a mediator.  Yee graduated from Northeastern University and Suffolk University School of Law.  A resident of Brookline, Yee is slated to fill the vacancy on the Quincy District Court created by the retirement of the Honorable Gregory R. Baler.

There's not much else on-line about Paul, so if anyone knows any details about him (progressive or not?), please feel free to share.
