The Phoenix Suns have announced that they will wear "Los Suns" jerseys in tonight's game against the San Antonio Spurs as a statement against the racist, anti-immigrant law recently passed in Arizona, SB 1070. Sun's owner Robert Sarver said that the decision was a way, "to honor our Latino community and the diversity of our league, the state of Arizona, and our nation."
Right wing conservatives and commentators such as Fox News and Rush Limbaugh have already come out bashing the Sun's calling them losers and cowards and suggesting that the Suns are responsible for creating a "climate of hate".
Though I'm usually a Lakers fan, I'll be cheering on the Suns tonight.
