NM-Governor Bill Richardson is term-limited out in 2010 and the candidates are starting to test the waters. One interesting name popping up is actor Val Kilmer who has actually lived in the state for the past twenty years. 
Now, why would his name even be mentioned on this site? Well, according to Wikipedia, Kilmer "has Scottish, Irish, Sephardic Jewish, Cherokee Native American (from a paternal great-grandmother), Swedish, German and Mongol ancestry." Apparently, he mentioned that while appearing on Inside the Actors Studio. Anyway, we wouldn't support him just because he's 1/200th Asian American, but just thought you would all find this a little fun fact. Oh, and FYI, he did make a donation to Nader in 2008.
