Here's some information about an exciting conference being put on by the good folks at SAALT (South Asian Americans Leading Together).
A sneak peak at their schedule includes:
Friday, April 24th/11AM-5PM: Briefings with Congressional staffers and Administration officials; meetings with Congressional offices, DC site visits (location TBA) Friday, April 24th/7PM-9PM: ChangeMaker Awards Reception (location TBA) Saturday, April 25th/8:30AM-8PM: Discussions and workshops about issues affecting the South Asian community and skills-building trainings (American University, Washington College of Law - 4801 Massachusetts Avenue NW) Sunday, April 26th/9:30AM-1:00PM: Regional Breakouts, Open Space, Closing SessionThe registration deadline is March 9th, so make sure you register in time. It should be a great event.
