Luis Gutierrez (D-Ill.) introduced the Comprehensive Immigration Reform for America’s Security and Prosperity Act of 2009 (CIR ASAP). Members of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus, the Congressional Asian Pacific American Caucus, the Congressional Black Caucus and the Congressional Progressive Caucus all support CIR ASAP, which is this Congress’ first real step toward common sense reformation of our nation’s broken immigration system.
