Bobby Jindal reveals thin skin

Sticks and stones may break his bones, but if you dare criticize Republican Governor and Presidential-aspirant Bobby Jindal's policies, it could get you fired. Case in point: Melody Teague, a contract grants worker, who spoke up recently:

Melody Teague criticized Jindal during a forum held by the Commission for Streamlining Government. Soon after, the contract grants reviewer was told she was fired for her handling of the state's disaster food stamps program four years ago, in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.


Asian American Republican in Illinois as sacrificial lamb

In 2004, the Republican Party in Illinois was looking for a sacrificial lamb in the race for U.S. Senator. Democratic nominee and then-State Senator, Barack Obama, was cruising in the polls and the G.O.P. was desperate for a candidate who could show that their party was just as inclusive as the Democrats. Without any available options in the land of Lincoln, the state G.O.P. had to recruit someone from Maryland, Alan Keyes. He lost bad.

Despite his attempts at faking out his constituents into thinking he's not a Republican, Louisiana Congressman Joseph Cao still remains vulnerable.

To the left. To the left. Everything he owns in a box to the left. Louisiana Republican Congressman Joseph Cao continues to distance himself from the base of the Republican party. As the GOP extremists were criticizing President Obama's speech to schoolchildren, more "moderate" Republican voices were voicing support for the President. Cao jumped on to this bandwagon.
