Voter Suppression 101

Located on the National Mall, the Martin Luther King, Jr. National Memorial is now open to the public. But even as Washington prepares to honor Reverend King, our communities' voting rights are being aggressively stripped away by GOP politicians across the country. Before the Civil Rights Movement, most Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders could not vote, intermarry, buy a home, or seek recourse against political or economic discrimination.

Today was the first "official" day of the Democratic National Convention.  It's going to be hard to put the entire exhilarating yet exhausting experience into words, so I'll try to keep my comments brief and let my photos do most of the talking.
