Asian American small business owner PAC trumpets victories

I actually have never heard of the Asian American Small Business PAC before, but it would stand to reason this constituency group would try to promote their business interests. And at $100,000, it would definitely make them one of the larger PAC's geared towards the AAPI community. The PAC is based in California and it's an impressive pipeline of elected officials, mostly Democrats. (I think Michelle Park Steel is the lone Republican.) Hopefully they can make a difference in Sacramento.


John Chiang to the Rescue: Bell Edition

Remember that recent story about the city officials in the small blue-collar town of Bell, CA, who were paying themselves huge fat salaries, while laying off essential city workers? Well, it seems like these officials may been using illegal money to do it. And State Controller John Chiang is trying to do something about it. Go get 'em, John!

Raja Krishnamoorthi to Announce IL Comptroller Candidacy this Weekend

Exciting news out of Illinois. Former Deputy Illinois Treasurer Raja Krishnamoorthi will launch his campaign for Illinois State Comptroller with events in Chicago and Peoria on Sunday and Monday.
