Asian American candidates fundraising numbers

In the 2010 election cycle so far, six Asian Americans have officially announced their candidacies for Congress, not including the seven incumbents. We've reported on a few of the fundraising numbers already, but here's a handy chart that includes all their numbers for these challengers (and their key opponents) as of 9/30/2009.


Van Tran DUI Investigation Troubles

Yesterday, we gave you a financial update on the primary battle between CA Assemblymember Van Tran and OC businessman Quang Pham, but here's another recent development and the headline's not very good for Mr. Tran.  According to the OC Register, "Police Say Assemblyman Van Tran disrupted DUI Investigation".

National Republicans were all excited when they got their preferred candidate, California Assemblymember Van Tran to run against Democrat Loretta Sanchez in CA-47.  But the road to DC may not be as easy as he, or the national GOP thought it would be.
