Thanks and Moving Forward

On behalf of the board of Asian Pacific Americans for Progress, thank you for joining us in Vegas. It was awesome to see so many young AAPI's showing the power of our community! We had a fabulous debrief on Saturday night and we wanted to follow-up on a few items: 1.) By the numbers. Ramey Ko (ramey (dot) ko (at) gmail (dot) com) is gathering the figures of the work you all did in Vegas. Please send him the number of doors you knocked, door hangers your group hung up, how many phone calls you made, etc. We want to document the work we did. 2.) Submit your stories. Michelle Yuen (michelle_h_yuen (at) yahoo (dot) com) has agreed to collect all the stories of the past few days. She will then post them up to our website and submit a brief report to a few organizations. She will work with bloggers, CAPAC, APIA Vote, AAJA and other APA groups to get the word out. 3.) Join our webteam. Jenn Fang (jenn (at) reappropriate (dot) com) has agreed to come on board as the Lead Blogger on our website (APAforProgress.org). We're looking for additional bloggers as well as people to add regular content (like audioblogs and videos). Please let us know. 4.) Mark your calendars. The Democratic Convention will be in Denver from Aug. 25 to 28. APAP is in the beginning stages of organizing an AAPI activist training. Please let us know if you can help out or if you would like to attend. 5.) Get connected. Please join our Facebook group at http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=2295577919 6) Blog! Stories from the trail are the most important to get out -please blog your experience, and if you do, send monica (at) 10k webdesign (dot) com the link and we'll cross-post. Catherine, Curtis, Eric, Annabel, Theresa, Ramey and the entire board P.S. - Special thanks to Keith Kamisugi and the Obama volunteers who helped document the experience on the webpage nv.apaforobama.com
