Here's another round-up of articles around the web. Great updates on the Koh brothers, Judy Chu, John Liu, Kamala Harris, Albert Torrico, Fil Vets and more...
We start with this great profile on DC's other power siblings, the Koh Brothers. After overcoming a Republican-delayed confirmation process, Harold Koh has joined the Administration as the legal advisor to the State Department. His brother Howard had a much easier road to becoming Assistant Secretary for Health and Human Services.
The CA Attorney General's race is heating up. As we previously stated, there are three Asian Americans in this race. SF District Attorney Kamala Harris got some nice press about her fundraising prowess. Assembly member Albert Torrico jumps in with his own numbers.
Here's a couple of articles on NYC City Councilman John Liu. One concerns the pressure he is getting from bike advocates. The other talks about his support for a bill that helps educate immigrants on English and civics.
Of course, Judy Chu was sworn in this past week. I know a lot of people are expecting great things from her.
And finally a couple of articles from New American Media: Filipino Veterans Kept Waiting for Lump Sum Payment and Minority Contractors Unite to Demand Share of Stimulus Dollars.
