First off, apologies for the light posting these past two weeks. Rest assured, we're working behind the scenes on a few big projects that you'll be excited about. Just keep checking for announcements in the coming weeks. To tide you over, here's another roundup of articles around the web.
First, a piece on the diversity in Obama's Administration. It seems when Bush holdovers are excluded, white men make up just under half of the people filling senior posts. Oh, and in case you were interested in what they and everyone else in the Administration earns, here's the list.
Bad news on the DADT front, Lt. Dan Choi, who was excellent in his webinar with APAP, a couple of weeks ago, has been discharged from the army. We're in constant contact with Lt. Choi and will keep you up-to-date on ways you can help.
Speaking of help, here's a piece on NYC Councilman John Liu supporting the transit workers in New York City. It's from the Daily News.
There seems to be a little controversy brewing out in Hawaii. It seems Senator Daniel Inouye used his clout in DC to help out a small bank in Hawaii, one that he happens to have major investments.
Congresswoman Michelle Bachman, the one who wanted to go on a witchhunt against her own fellow Congressmembers, is now telling people not to fill out the Census. Her reasoning has something to do with the Japanese American internment camps. Don't you just love it when Asian Americans are used to push right-wing talking points?
Not that I'm a fan of Bachman, but what is the right wing talking point she is pushing here?
Bachman is in a league of her own, but in this case, that the Census is not to be trusted and that government is out to get you.
