Hi everyone, I'm Francis, but you can call me Kiko or kikoman. I will mostly be posting Asian American events and other important cultural and/or political events in and around our community. The segment in the APAP website is entitled "This Week in Asian Pacific America." If you know of an upcoming events, please forward them to pressrelease@apaforprogress.org. Your help and knowledge will be very much appreciated.
From September 19 - September 26, 2009
On September 26, 2009, a one of a kind Filipino-American experience will be unveiled at the Pilipino Workers' Center. The Center, together with Pdub Productions, shares to the L.A. community a symbol of Philippine pride, the jeepney. The launching of the PWC jeepney will be followed by a jeepney tour and walking tour of Historic Filipinotown. I believe space is limited, so reserve your spot and be the first to experience a unique tour around Hi-Fi. Also, after the tours' conclusion, there will be food, film screenings , and live musical performances. For more information, call (213) 250-4353, e-mail angelique@pwcsc.org, or visit www.hypercities.com/pdub.
