Check out the White House Initiative on Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders (AAPIs) Fall 2010 Newsletter!
The President's Advisory Commission on Asian Americans & Pacific Islanders, part of the White House Initiative on AAPIs was re-established by President Obama's executive order last year after it expired and was not renewed in 2007. The Commission and Initiative serve to advise all 40 federal agencies and the Administration on how to better serve the AAPI community, as well as to provide information to the community about federal programs, policy reforms, opportunities, and more. In other words, the they serve as a bridge and a conduit for communication between the AAPI community and the federal government.
Below is a link to their Fall 2010 newsletter, which provides an update on the Initiative's accomplishments, current projects, and priorities and goals over the next few years. The more members of our community we can engage in this process, the more we can accomplish in the next few years.
